Date: 26 May 2026 The Forecast Opportunity for Discovery Indigenous for funding commencing in 2027 (IN27) is now available on GrantConnect: Forecast Opportunity – IN27 IN27 will operate under the Discovery Program: Discovery Indigenous Grant Opportunity Guidelines (2026 edition) (the Guidelines). The Guidelines have been updated, including changes to the Chief Investigator (CI) eligibility requirements. Details of these changes have been communicated to the sector via the ARC website: Update to the Discovery Indigenous 2027 grant opportunity. The updated Guidelines also introduce a requirement that all CIs must hold a persistent digital identifier, such as an Open Researcher and Contributor Identifier (ORCID), in their RMS Profile prior to commencement of the project. Please ensure you refer to the updated Guidelines when preparing an application. Please note ARC Grant Opportunity Guidelines are legislative instruments that have been tabled in Parliament and may be subject to disallowance. Applications for IN27 will open in the Research Management System on Tuesday 2 June 2026.
