National Science Week: Stabilising Australia's Electricity Grid
14 August 2023
To celebrate National Science Week for 2023, we’re showcasing ARC-funded research excellence around Australia, highlighting some of the incredible projects that are currently underway across the country.
As electric vehicles become more common, Dr Elizabeth Ratnam from the Australian National University is working to build Australia’s fast charging infrastructure, to improve the resilience of our electricity grid, and make sure the lights stay on.
Dr Ratnam's project was funded through the ARC's Linkage Projects scheme, which supports projects that initiate or develop long term strategic research alliances to apply advanced knowledge to problems, acquire new knowledge and as a basis for securing commercial and other benefits of research.
