Making a Difference
Making a difference—Outcomes of ARC supported research is an annual publication produced by the ARC that demonstrates how ARC supported research is making a real difference to Australia and the world.
Each edition is a snapshot of the outstanding research outcomes derived from research projects funded by the Australian Government through the ARC’s National Competitive Grants Program (NCGP).
The NCGP supports the highest-quality fundamental and applied research and research training through national competition across all disciplines1 and encourages partnerships between researchers and industry, government, community organisations and the international community.
The publication provides examples of ARC supported research projects—across the full spectrum of humanities and social sciences (HASS) disciplines through to the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines—that are delivering cultural, economic, social and/or environmental benefits to Australia.
1Clinical and other medical research is primarily supported by the National Health and Medical Research Council.
